31-07-03 Thursday I am really not in my luck this month! First is the bike lock that got spoiled out of sudden, then the flat tyre at the back....and just now, i accidentally pull the cable of the earphone...and *tuck* there goes the only side of the pathetic earphone that is functioning! I wonder whether is me that is clumsy in handling the things? You know...like spilling coffee over the table, dropping things from the bag...always leaving my things in a friend room/house/car without realising before they inform me...Hehe...can't help with it, i was just born like this :P

30-07-03 Wednesday Finally send out the visa application today....Fast isn't it? From getting info and form in monday, to preparing all the supporting documents and send it out by today! Now there is other things to worry, places to stay after Sept...Worries just never end... Chat with little sis today, she send me her 2 writings abt the chinese society. Wow...after not seeing for a year, i think she has really grown up a lot...or i have not been really noticing that my little sis is not a young spoiled child anymore, but with more positive thinking developed...Anyway, I am glad of wat she is now...and i promise to writer her a letter, which i will do it by today... Recently, i have been writing a lot of emails....and i think i have build up a habit of writing really long emails. Everytime i just keep on typing, and before i realise....*ting* the email is already 1 page full. Sigh...day time is getting shorter now...this year summer is just too short...before i start enjoying the sun light...the weather it's getting cold again...Hehe, nevermind, i shall be enjoying full sun shine soon...and that means just 4 months away now....Yahoo!

28-07-03 Monday Phew...today is just a very very busy day...Not to say the work load just for the project, now there are more things that i need to keep in my mind, and to settle with it. First is the visa problem...out of the sudden the Home office wanted to apply an application charges for extending the visa...mine is expiring at end of sept, which i need to extend definitely for attending the Viva...And it is not cheap, a 155 quid! Damn...what kind of timing izzit to implement this stupid charges by 1st aug... Then, need to plan out the europe tour , find a place to stay after sept...struggle to get more income if possible...not to say worrying abt going to unemployed after graduated...Gosh...am i just being too positive thinking last time? Or all these things just happened in a wink? God only knows!

25-07-03 Thursday Got back my notebook yesterday, it was really the head spreader fault! So i did make the right guess. Any how it feel so good to have back my little lappy. And it is so great that we got the router and hub installed in the house, finally. Now everyone can go online at the same time....One of the housemate was asking me whether i hav a web cam in room, so that we can do web conferencing to each other....wat a funny guy...come on, we are staying in the same house! It is really convenient to have the internet access in the room, i don't have to buy newspaper to get the TV programme list, just a click of the mouse, i can know what is the programme showing now or tomorrow...wat could i say anymore, having broadband is fun fun n fun!

23-07-03 Wednesday I am so so happy today! Well, just called to the Compaq service center, and they told me that my notebook is already sent back to me today! Wat a good news to hear isn't it? I really need it back for my project work...and i am so glad that it only takes a short time to repair it....Hmmm hopefully, coz i have not seen and tested the notebook yet...I ask for the cause of the problem and the engineer told that there will be a report included in the box that they sent back. Haha...hopefully it is not saying...unstable operating system because installation of pirated software....hmmm really curious on looking at the report now...

22-07-03 Tuesday It happened that a few ex-colleague (now becoming good friends) message me over the msn this morning. It is really nice being able to chat with friends back home that u have not met for long...And it is really sweet to hear them saying they missed me and asking when i will be goind back. But it is also shocked to hear how things have changed in their life in just a few months time...some even major change, be it good or bad ...

17-07-03 Thursday Sometimes it is fun to work in the Cafe @ Town Hall, but there will be time that u will feel frustrated with some weird customers. I usually work there every saturday, and there is one old lady, that come every saturday no matter sunny or raining, snowing or storming. Evert staff knows her, not because only she is a regular customer, but because she is extremely fussy... anything she can complaint abt it. So the best, is try to avoid serving her, haha...that's wat all the girls do...leaving the problematic customer to the guys. However, most of the time, the customers are quite friendly and helpful, they will make jokes with u, always say thank you, and not stingy to give praising, even u just help them a little. So it is not suprise to being called my darling, love, dear or even angel by them. I just finished my dinner not long ago, suddenly feel so missing food back home...think of the nasi lemak, fried keow teoy, asam laksa, prawn noddle...a long list to count on....Yum Yum...just wondering...when exactly i will have the chance to go home...

15-07-03 Tuesday It is terrible hot over the past few days, sometimes temperature even go up to 30 degree. The breeze is hot, the sun is burning at its extreme, wat a summer that we have here. May be is because of the weather, my lappy decided to add more prob to my already busy life . It just like to shut down by it's own whenever the CPU usage gets high...my wild guess would be the problem of the fan... Call up the compaq service center this morning...told them the problem, the first representative that i talk to insisted of going through some small testing...making me spent a fortune for making a call to them using my mobile during the peak time...finally manage to convince them that i want to send in for a good check up...better to solve everything at one go and while the lappy is still under warranty....hehe...

13-07-03 Sunday Finally i am back...back to the Internet world...just got the house installed with broadband, but the bad news is we have not got a router yet, so each of us need to take turn now to use the line... wat a pity. It is going to be mid of July soon, which means i only hav exactly 2 more months to complete my thesis...oh dear, time is passing so fast...but it also means that i will be getting home soon....hopefully it will be...back for good...rite?

09-07-03 Wednesday The result is out today! Feeling a bit dissappointed on the mark for one subject, but other than that the rest of it is of expectation and was pretty good. Anyway too late to regret now, just need to work harder on the thesis, and perhaps to obtain a higher marks and pull up the average. Luckily got to generate some useful data for the project by yesterday... It is sad to know that the Bijani twin has died from the separation operation. If u were them , would u take the risk or rather just stay joined together for the rest of ur life? It is a very difficult choice to make, but life is full of situation where u must determine ur path, taking up unknown risk just like this.

07-07-03 Monday I am not going to complain abt my project in here again, coz it won't do any good. If i continue like this, I believe this blog will just become a long record of my frustrating project for the coming 3 months. Well, although the project form the major portion of my life now, there are still many things happening around....something good which is worth to say. Okay, so let's start it now. Sis told me that she already sent out the parcel to me, which is one good thing. Today weather is warm and sunny all the day, which is another good thing. Still don't feel good abt the progress of my project....i guess i will never stop night mared by this as long as i have not submitted the thesis...anyone would like to help out!?

06-07-03 Sunday It's really a pain of not having internet access in the house...u couldn't check email anytime u like, couldn't online in messenger, couldn't surf the net...and not being able to search for information at the click of the mouse! This morning, i was waken up by some noise talking down there, later on which i found out from my housemates that some one has been walking and peeping around outside the ground floor....now everyone in the house is highly alerted...Anyway, if there is some one wanting to break into the house, there's nothing that we can do...just got to be cautious more now.

03-07-03 Thursday I am in the lab again, waiting for the result of my simulation...looking at the long hours each simulation takes, i am doubt that i will be able to finish my project in time...*ah-oh* It is the love songs and dedication time in mix fm just now. A guy called in, defining his meaning of LOVE. L-Look O-Observed V-Verify E-Everlasting/End According to him, a lot of ppl just look at their partner with eyes, but never observed with hearts, and also forget about verifying. A smart person that have done the 3 mentioned steps will have an everlasting relationship. If not, it is just going to be an end. Hmm...thought that it is quite true.

02-07-03 Wednesday Now I am quite sure that i will be staying till the end of this year (at least), therefore i will hold on the travelling plans for the summer. Mean while, i better pay full attention to the project, and get my slimming plan kicking up this summer! Hmm...feeling dragfully dull for the raining days....hey, this is suppose to be summer, where has the sun gone? Check the weather forecast and it shows that it will be the same cloudy day all this week...but i want more sunshine!

01-07-03 Tuesday I am back from the heaven! Haha, don't be mistaken...this heaven is a place on earth - the south west part of UK. What about the place? Just sit back and read it on... Friday (27th) This journey started with a shopping in Tesco for all the foods that we needed to survive on along the trip. We only start departed after 3.30pm which is 2 hous later than the planned time...hehe. It was a hectic long hours drive...we been stuck in the congestion many times on one of the main motorway...only able to reach Crantock Beach, the place that we have booked for the caravan at 10.30pm night. Luckily it is summer now, and the sky is only getting dark after 10pm...Everyone is tired... Saturday (28th) After a night of recharge and a heavy bfast with a great view from the caravan, we head to the Newquay town for the most famous bay and beaches in Cornwall. The weather is really good, sun is shining at the fullest, wind is breezing...We just can't keep the eyes out of the magnificent great view. At the noon we spend some good time strolling along in the town, then head back to the caravan for some late lunch. Evening time couldn't be waste just like that, so we decided to go for a walk along the Crantock Beach, water is freezing cold...but we do hav a good sun tan. Sunday (29th) Today we decided to head south, and visit the most south west part of UK, a place called the Land's End. This is place that u must not miss if u have come to cornwall. If u can see across thousand miles, New York will just be in front of u over the Atlantic Ocean. Once again, we are facsinated with the beautiful nature scenary. After Land's End, we spend some time hopping from on sea side city to another, including Penzance and St's Ives....however, the winding road make us start getting dizzy and soon felt into sleep along the journey. Monday (30th) Wake up very early in the morning, coz we have to rush back and return the car by 1pm...it's really too short a time to stay in such a great place...In the middle of the way, we drove into Birmingham to bypass the congestion in M42, do get lost a little coz the co-driver claimed that his sense of direction will get worse when he is in the urge of nature call...hehe...Anyway, we do reached back Loughborough on time...and that's the end of the cornwall trip!
